Mike + Jackie = Mackie

Mike and Jackie met while singing at Knox Presbyterian Church in 2015(?), where he pursued her relentlessly until she finally met his dog, Willett, and decided that was enough reason to keep coming over.

Through the powers of perfect steak and incredible baking, mutual respect, admiration, and love were formed. Many scrambled eggs later, Mike proposed to Jackie on December 26, 2021 on Jackie’s family ranch in Central Texas.

As this website would imply, Jackie said yes.

In accordance with our not-so-traditional worldviews, our wedding ceremony will take place on a cruise ship in the Caribbean, surrounded by our immediate family and closest friends. It was important to us that our individual families, living across the country from each other, have the opportunity to get to know each other more intimately than would be possible during the rapid succession of a more traditional wedding event. We love our families, both blood and chosen, and cannot imagine a better way to start our marriage.

We have scheduled the ceremony for Day 2 of the cruise to prevent any objection as a result of this process.
